The Parrots Are A-Squawking

based on Mayfield’s reaction and statements and that of his attorneys.

And of course, I’m also not surprised at some fans reactions to the release of NA$CAR’S statements through their official bully, I mean spokesmen, Ramses Posthole, and their condemning Mayfield. However, they need to think about a few things. First off, you have the same labs, whose credibility is questionable to begin with after the first test, running the same test. Then you have the same cast of characters basically repeating themselves either personally or through their usual mouthpieces on the Emperor of All Things NA$CAR’s side saying  ‘See, we told you so’ or ‘How dare you doubt the word of His Royal Highness’.
\
Then you have the questionable step-mother jumping in with an affidavit making some very strange and questionable accusations, not to mention the timing of the affidavit. How long does it take to get an affidavit, get it notarized, and make it available to the media in time to coincide with the release of the drug test results? How much time did Jeremy actually spend around this step-mother over the time period she’s talking about? 1 hour? 2 hours? 10 hours? 24 hours? That’s never mentioned. And it takes some time to procure the necessary ingredients  and equipment to  cook up  meth. Plus just how would she know exactly where to get the equipment and the ingredients? It would take time to research it on the web and to get the equipment and ingredients. Has anyone checked the computer (if she even has one) to see if there’s any sort of trail to support her allegations? Not to mention the cash or credit cards needed. Has anyone checked to see if any stores sold her the quantities of OTC drugs needed to brew up the meth? So there would have to be some sort of money or paperwork trail to back the accusations and affidavit. There should also be some video evidence as most stores selling medication or handling money have video surveillance. So where are the tapes, cash receipts, or charge card statements to back up the accusations? Apparently there don’t seem to be any. And how about the boyfriend who moved in two days after Jeremy’s father’s death? Just how is he connected to this and just what is his record, if he has one? Now I’m no lawyer, but these are questions that any reasonable person would ask and also questions that I think any judge , juror, or media member not under NA$CAR’s influence would ask.

Then there’s the  “absolute statement” by Dr. Black that there’s no possibility of a false positive. Say what? I’m not a doctor or expert on drug abuse but 5 minutes of research on the internet and checking out web sites of experts show that false positives are a reality in the real world. And that’s pretty obvious in the judge’s opinion and statement. Plus Dr Black is no stranger to controversy when it comes sports or NA$CAR. It seems he and a Mr. Tennant were involved with the testing of NFL players for steroids and by their own admission that some players were singled out to be scapegoats. (from September 21, 2008) www.signonsandiego.com/sports/nfl/20080921-9999-1s21nfl89.html

Plus something else to think about too. The second test was done at the same labs as before. Well, we already know they were unreliable the first time around and as there doesn’t seem to be any indications that the testing protocols were changed, only the sample gathering procedures. So the same labs doing the same test again would be definitely questionable in my mind.

As to Mayfield’s accusations of his samples being  “spiked”, you have to go back through the history of the sport to see to just what lengths NA$CAR will go to discredit somebody. When Bill Sr. started revising the sport’s history at the outset, you have to wonder. No moonshine involvement? Then why did Bill France Sr. take money from a known numbers racket and moonshine operator to help finance his operation? And why did Faux King Brian say that NA$CAR wasn’t involved with moonshine? NA$CAR’s first race winner was a bootlegger. I’m not talking about who got the trophy. I’m talking about the driver who was disqualified and whom Bill France Sr. hired later to drive his own car. If you really want to find out who founded NASCAR, the characters who built the sport, the people who got screwed over by Bill France Sr. in order to establish NASCAR, read  “Driving With the Devil”. I knew some things about the beginning of the sport but I never knew it was that dirty and never knew to what extent.

I also knew that NA$CAR had done Tim Richmond dirty, but didn’t know to what extent. It appears that his family filed suit against NA$CAR and was trying to clear up Tim’s name and reputation in  February 1990: articles.latimes.com/1990-02-21/sports/sp-1130_1_drug-test

So if NA$CAR was willing to bend the rules and ruin Tim’s reputation, even in death, then it’s not much of a stretch to see how they’d try to ruin Jeremy Mayfield’s life. And this also gives some credence to Mayfield’s accusations of his urine samples being  “spiked”.

One recent accusation by Mayfield may have come from or been based on the book  “Dirt Under the Asphalt” which covers some seedier parts of NA$CAR I didn’t know existed and a few things I suspected about political influence. If what Jack Flowers wrote is true, then His Majesty has got some serious explaining to do. According to what Mr. Flowers wrote, it seems that His Royal Highness was admitted to the Betty Ford Clinic under an alias. It also seems that one of the Royal Henchmen kept The Emperor of All Things NA$CAR from going to jail when he was supposedly stopped by SC State Troopers in a rental car and they found some drugs and drug paraphernalia. Now we all know about His Royal Highness assaulting the palm trees in Daytona Beach and how some things were covered up or not properly investigated despite one of the officers smelling alcohol. It also seems, based on Mr. Flowers book, that His Imperial (Im)Potentate had some problems in Arizona too. So could we be seeing some major unraveling of the France family and more dirty secrets exposed in court? And as I’ve asked before, since NA$CAR’s own official scribes have described HRH Faux King Brian as being a NA$CAR official, has he been given a drug test like the rest of the NASCAR officials are supposed to or is it another case of NA$CAR not applying it’s own rules equally?

And what about HRH statement about other drivers being found positive? I know I’m curious as to who they are, what actions have been taken against them if any, why are they still driving if they came up positive, and have they undergone rehab per NA$CAR’s policy? You can bet this will come up in court if Mayfield’s lawyer is worth his salt. And why wouldn’t Faux King Brian mention who these drivers are? Obviously privacy isn’t an issue since they threw Mayfield’s name right out there. Could it be that some of NA$CAR’S Cash Cows have come up positive? That would explain why he didn’t mention any names. Think of the fallout from saying, as an example, that Dale Jr., Jeff Gordon, or Jimmie Johnson had come up positive. Fans would quit buying their souvenirs, they’d quit buying race tickets, and they’d be making the same sort of comments about them as they are about Mayfield. Not to mention the bad publicity. And as NA$CAR is all about money nowadays, you know they’d go to great lengths to protect the bottom line especially with the beating they’re taking right now with all the empty seats in the grandstands, falling souvenir and concession sales, and dropping TV ratings.

One official scribe has said that this case is eroding NA$CAR’s credibility as a sanctioning body. I think NA$CAR’s credibility was eroded a long time ago. Drivers using illegal parts with NA$CAR’s blessing, inconsistent enforcement of the rules, Ms Terry DeBris cautions, NA$CAR’s insistence on the current TV coverage format versus the split screen, NA$CAR’s control of the media, the “fixed” fan votes, just to name a few. It’s gone from racing to racer-tainment. The WWE on Wheels.

For you folks who have already jumped on the
NA$CAR bandwagon and are condemning
Jeremy Mayfield, you may want to jump back off
it. And those that are still sitting on the fence,
you may want to find a side to pick and back it.
And for those that are still backing Mayfield, God
love you for sticking with him. Now why would I
be sticking with Mayfield? Besides the obvious
that I’m not exactly one who swallows the purple
Kool Aid by the gallon and am not one to go
along with the party line? Let’s go back to the
very beginning of the sport and Big Bill’s trying to
revise it from the get go. The disqualification of
drivers strictly to keep money in NA$CAR’s
wallet. Rules being bent to keep manufacturers
in the sport. Ignoring the fans. Changing traditions
. Further revising history. Closing down tracks in favor of generic clone tracks which serve up boring racer-tainment. Ruining people’s lives for no good reason. And a much longer list than most fans have. Do I think NA$CAR would intentionally ruin somebody’s life? Yes I do. What would be their gain? Distracting people from the sports real problems. Distract attention from the Carl Long outcry. Keep people from finding out about NA$CAR’s seedier side. Keeping the owners, drivers, crewmembers, and media in line. NA$CAR has a lot to lose if the truth is known.

One thing is for sure folks, the parrots sure are a-squawking away about the latest episode in the Mayfield Mayhem. It sure is a strange coincidence that before NA$CAR released the results of Jeremy Mayfield’s latest test results that certain members of the lamestream media already had their stories up and running on the web and in the newspapers blasting Mayfield before Mayfield himself, other members of the lamestream media, and us race fans found out about the test results. So you have to wonder, just how did they get that info before the rest of us found out about it? Did Mayfield and his lawyer know about the test results before these select chosen scribes did? Apparently not,
