audience and a successful souvenir vending program, it only makes sense that the two organizations would merge. I’m just waiting to see Trish Stratus do a Figure 4 Leg Lock on the caught-in-the-headlight Sprint girls or DX giving the Co-Owner of Motormouth Racer-tainment their famous two word salutation. The one person who would have job security in this whole thing would be Dr. Black of Aegis Labs since he’s been involved with both sports entertainment organization’s drug testing programs. He managed to omit certain information regarding wrestler’s Chris Benoit’s death in his testimony before Congress, so who knows what information he’d omit regarding the drug testing program once both organizations merge.
Going back to the Hall of Fame selection for a moment. Mike, a fellow race fan, brought up some points that were missed or weren’t really brought out about the nomination and voting process. The fan vote only counted as a single, solitary vote. So even if the fans didn’t give anyone a single vote that was inducted, their vote was outweighed by the controlled media. If both Cale and the Silver Fox got 40% of the vote each, that means the other 20% was so split up that the odds against those who were actually inducted were pretty good. If, as we’ve heard time and again, the fans are what NA$CAR really cares about, then the fan vote would have more influence on the overall decision process. Another thing Mike mentioned was somebody who wasn’t their in the media to vote and that was Chris Economaki. I can remember Chris doing the reporting for the NA$CAR races back in the old days of Wide World of Sports. The man is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to racing. So why wasn’t he there? Could it be somebody who hunts palm trees was afraid that Chris might actually write about the whole process in his own racing newspaper and web site? Or were they afraid that he might actually tip the scales and some other folks might have been voted in and not the ones who were selected? Some good points to ponder when it comes to next year’s vote.
After reading a few of the articles about the Diversity Program, I have to wonder. Since His Royal Highness isn’t really putting that much money into the program and basically giving it only lip service, how come the lamestream media keeps praising it? They had a shot at making the Diversity Program work with Bill Lester. They had a chance with Sarah Fisher. They had a shot at making it work with Marc Davis and they blew it. So instead of having a functional program which could actually achieve the results the program is intended to have, it’s drug out once a year and paraded around to look like a nice and pretty PC program and then the money disappears and it goes back into the shadows until it’s needed once again to show just how PC the Beach Boy Bubbas really are. It’s nothing more than a failed showpiece with no results to show for it. But as long as it keeps the minority community off NA$CAR’s back and in the dark about the truth of the program, no real results will ever be achieved.
Big ouch with the Martinsville ratings. Down 14%. That makes every race so far in the play-offs a double digit loser. Even Mr. Magoo should be able to see something is wrong. How about Hamlin’s remark about “them wanting to give him the race”? Or the brake check that was done, mentioned by the Booth Buffoons, and no penalty? Or how about Stremme getting warned for rough driving while the same thing he did was going on at the front of the field and nothing was said to the race leaders? Or the admiration of the Commentating Clowns for Johnson speeding on pit road but not getting caught because he slowed down between the timing loops? How about the caution with less than 20 laps to go for a piece of rubber off of the #44 car which has become a trademark of bunching up the field at the end of the races this season? And how about John Andretti sitting on the front straight while the pack is coming out of Turn 4 and the last second caution being called? Didn’t we just see that at Loudon and hear a lot of bogus excuses from the Royal Henchmen for that? The same sort of incident which involved Dale Jarrett, ended the “racing back to the flag”, and gave us the Lucky Dog? Based on NA$CAR’s own drug policy, anyone (officials, competitors, and participants) who does something dangerous or careless during a race has to be tested for drugs and/or alcohol. So is Mr. Magoo and company going to be tested? Or is this another case of NA$CAR not following its’ own rules and policies?
And how about the concern for safety we hear so much about? It’s OK to speed in spurts on pit road as long as it’s between the timing loops. How about paying attention to the other cars on that very crowded pit road and the crewmembers who are working there while you‘re paying attention to where the timing loops are? We’ve had enough crewmembers injured this year from drivers not paying attention to what was happening on pit road. So it’s OK to increase the odds of seriously injuring a crewmember so long as it’s done between the timing loops? Another fine example of how NA$CAR only pays lip service to the safety of the sport.
The Co-Owner of Motormouth Racer-tainment needs to hand over his driver’s license or get chauffeured everywhere by Benito the Bear. Two accidents in two years and while nothing was proven on the first accident regarding alcohol, this second one was under the limit blowing a .06 which is under NC‘s .08 legal limit. Even though it is under the limit, it is defined by the officers on the scene as alcohol impairment.
What is it with that brand of vehicle and alcohol? First The Imperial Intoxicant hunting palm trees after drinking lots of “sodas” at the Chart House and now this incident involving the same make of vehicle. Does the manufacturer include an “all you can drink” deal when you buy their vehicles? I hope the Harley rider has a fast recovery. Of course, this might also explain some on-track performance issues too. Based on NA$CAR’s drug policy, anyone can be tested because of the wrecks they cause on the track and we’ve seen a number of wrecks caused by the Human Shill. Hey, Your Majesty. When was the last time you did a drug and alcohol test on the Co-Owner of Motormouth Racer-tainment prior to him rolling his car off the hauler?
And where is all the moral outrage from the lamestream media? When Scott Wimmer was driving for Bill Davis and had a DUI and tore up his vehicle, the lamestream media wanted his head served up on a silver platter and went on about his DUI for a couple of weeks. Now, just like the JC France DUI and possession of narcotics, the lamestream media is resoundingly quiet. The Co-Owner of Motormouth Racer-tainment was impaired by alcohol, operating a motorized vehicle, and caused injuries to another driver. How many more incidents is it going to take before somebody finally takes some sort of action to curtail this lunacy? Will it take the death of another vehicle operator to finally end it? His performance on the track has led some fans to wonder if maybe he’s racing under the influence. Of course, we wouldn’t know since the random testing for drugs and alcohol is something of a farce in NA$CAR. And since Grey Goose is his preferred brand of vodka, it’s rather hard to detect based on smell which is one of the ways the officials are supposed to detect alcohol. Is the normal NA$CAR double standard being applied to the Human Shill? Has the lamestream media been told once again to shut their yaps? You decide.
For those of you who have wondered over the years who sits on the NA$CAR Racing Commission, NA$CAR’s Kangaroo Court of Appeals, here’s who currently makes up the commission:
Mark Arute, Spencer Lueders, Gary Bahre, Grant Lynch, Buddy Baker, Denis McGlynn, Lee Baumgarten, Leo Mehl, John Bishop, Bud Moore, Clay Campbell, Steve Page, John Capels Dale Pinilis John Cooper, Cathy Rice, Barbara Cromarty, Les Richter, Doug Fritz, George Silverman (Chairman), Harry Gant, Bob Smith, Richard Gore, Lyn St. James, Janet Guthrie, H.A.Wheeler, Jr., Russell Hackett, Kevin Whitaker, David Hall, Jim Williams, Jack Housby, and Jo DeWitt Wilson.
All it takes is for 3 members to be there for a
quorum. So basically all it takes is for 3
members to “hear” the case and render their
normal guilty verdict. Charles D. Strang is the
National Commissioner and has final say over
any appeal. So even if the 3 members may find a
driver, owner, or crew chief not guilty, Strang
gives the final thumbs down should it reach his
level. Just ask Carl Long. Or in a weird case, ask
Robby Gordon when he was found innocent but
had to pay a ridiculous fine.
While it’s a couple of weeks away, for you
service members and veterans who have a
hankering for Applebee’s, they’re giving away a
free meal to anyone who has the proper ID or proof of service.
It’s good to see some folks showing their appreciation for our service members and veterans. And yes, I’ll be there for my free meal and no, I’m not getting any perks for mentioning this.
