DIRECTIONS AND TRAFFIC INFO
From Baltimore, Washington and Richmond
Take US 50/301 through Annapolis, across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Proceed north on US 301 to Maryland 302. Turn right on 302 and follow signs to Dover. Or, take 1-95 north to Route 1 south, and get off in Dover, exit 104. Watch for signs to Dover International Speedway.
From New Jersey and North
Take New Jersey Turnpike south across the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Follow Route 13 south. Continue on Route 13/1 to Dover International Speedway.
From Philadelphia and Wilmington
Take 1-95 south from Philadelphia, through Wilmington, to Route 1 south. Follow Route 1 to Dover, exit 104.
From Norfolk Area
Cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and follow US 13 north approximately 170 miles to Dover International Speedway
NEW EXIT PROCEDURE FROM LOT #1
A new exit procedure will be in place for Lot #1. Patrons parking in Lot 1 will now exit the same way they entered.
To control traffic flow, the State of Delaware has determined that guests will not be permitted to turn right onto Route 13 North following the race on Sunday. All traffic exiting Lot 1 will turn left at Buckson Drive, and then right onto Townsend Blvd, to Route 13 South.
TRAFFIC UPDATE FROM US: Huge problems going north. Definitely park on the side of the hwy. you need to be on to get out...we were going south and parked on the side of the road where we could turn right (no left turns)...also going south/west is the ticket...many people told me to do it even if I was going to eventually heading north....we left 1 hour after the race and sat in almost no traffic heading to the Chesapeake bay bridge to go to 95.
There was a HUGE traffic jam cause of the Redskins home game but we caught it on the cb and cut thru 301 south to catch 95 above Richmond....so if you are heading home in the Baltimore, DC or Philly areas (or one where the Giants or Jets play) make sure there isn't a home game on Sunday and if so grab a detailed map....and go an alternate route
